WPP + Theirworld

Girl+ is a global movement we created that focuses on adding technology to subtract the number of uneducated girls around the world. We applied the global understanding of math as a language to convey our message. (D&AD New Bloods 2015 entry)

We would launch the Girl+ Campaign in Times Square with a huge interactive billboard depicting a striking yellow background with the names of the 33 million uneducated girls. Once a pledge is made online or using the on-site kiosks, the digital billboard will instantly add the patron’s name and subtract one of the names from the screen. With more and more support, the screen will eventually reveal a portrait of a young girl whose life will change from the Girl+ movement.

Patrons can visit the site to make pledges and find out more about the Girl+ Campaign.

We will leverage social platforms like Facebook and Twitter to create buzz and awareness about the Girl+ Campaign. Social ads will also drive people to the launch event as well as the microsite where they can make a pledge and show support.
